BYD's subcompact SUV on e-Platform 3.0, positioned between the Dolphin and the Atto 3. Sold as the Yuan Up in China, the Atto 2 in many export markets and the Yuan Pro in South America.

First generation 2024–present
Launched in China on 26 March 2024 with 32 kWh and 45.1 kWh battery options. Europe and the UK followed from early 2025 as the Atto 2, and a DM-i plug-in hybrid version was later added in some markets.
Powertrain, battery & charging
EV: single front motor, 130 kW (174 hp) and 290 N·m in the UK and European version, with a 42.4 kWh usable (about 45 kWh) LFP battery and up to 65 kW DC charging. Other markets list 32 to 64.8 kWh batteries and power outputs from 70 to 150 kW. DM-i plug-in hybrid (Atto 2 DM-i): a 1.5 L naturally aspirated engine (72 kW) with an electric motor (145 kW), a combined output of about 156 kW (209 hp) and a 7.8 kWh or 18 kWh LFP Blade battery, with up to about 93 miles (150 km) of electric driving in the UK.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
Yuan Up, Atto 2 and Yuan Pro are the same car under different names, but battery size and motor output vary by market. The DM-i plug-in version has a different drivetrain from the EV. The Atto 2 is not the Atto 3 (the Yuan Plus) or Atto 5, which are larger cars. Charging inlets differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
