Compact electric SUV on BYD's e-Platform 3.0 with the LFP Blade Battery. Sold in China as the Yuan Plus and exported widely as the Atto 3, including to the GCC. One of the most common Chinese EVs in the region.

Yuan Plus / Atto 3 (original) 2022–present
Revealed Aug 2021 (Chengdu Auto Show), on sale in China Feb 2022; front motor, FWD; 400 V; 49.92 kWh or 60.48 kWh LFP Blade (50.25 kWh in Thailand from 2024).
Facelift / Atto 3 Evo 2025–present
China facelift 2025 (new bumpers, Chinese knot tail lamps, DiPilot versions); export Atto 3 Evo from 2026 on an 800 V version of e-Platform 3.0 with a rear motor (RWD) or dual-motor AWD, 74.8 kWh battery, and the gear selector moved to the steering column. Some markets keep a FWD version alongside it.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Original car: single front motor (150 kW in most markets, 100 kW in some), FWD, LFP Blade Battery 49.92 or 60.48 kWh, 400 V; DC charging up to about 70–88 kW depending on battery. Atto 3 Evo (2025/2026 on): RWD or AWD on an 800 V architecture with a 74.8 kWh battery and much faster DC charging. Export cars charge on CCS2, China-spec on GB/T.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
China-spec Yuan Plus and export Atto 3 differ in charging port (GB/T vs CCS2), software language, and some lighting and sensor configurations. The Atto 3 Evo / facelift is a substantially different car (rear or all-wheel drive, 800 V, different suspension and bumpers) — parts for the original FWD Atto 3 will often not fit. Always send the VIN.
