Generations & years

  • Seal DM-i 2023–2024

Planned under a different name and launched as the Seal DM-i in 2023, months after the plan changed in July 2023, to fit the Seal sedan family.

  • Seal 07 2024–present

The Seal 07 DM-i launched on 8 August 2024 with DM 5.0 hybrid technology, replacing the Seal DM-i. A facelifted Seal 07 DM-i was introduced in China on 21 August 2025, and a battery-electric Seal 07 EV was added for the 2026 model year. The DM-i reached Gulf countries in June 2025.

Powertrain, battery & charging

DM-i (DM 5.0): front-wheel drive only, with a 1.5 L engine (74 kW) and a 160 kW motor, or a 1.5 L turbo engine (115 kW) and a 200 kW motor; Blade LFP battery with CLTC electric range of about 70 km or 125 km. Body about 4,980 mm long on a 2,900 mm wheelbase. The EV version has its own battery-electric drivetrain.

Where to find the VIN

On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.

China-spec vs export-spec

The Seal DM-i (2023) and the Seal 07 DM-i (from 2024, on DM 5.0) have different hybrid systems, so the build date matters. The Seal 07 EV and Seal 07 DM-i share a name and styling but have different drivetrains. The Seal EV sedan (2022) and the Seal 06 are different cars. Charging inlets differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
