BYD's mid-size electric hatchback in the Seal family, with a design inspired by the Ocean-M concept. The 2026 model launched on 2 April 2026 with the second-generation Blade Battery and flash charging.

Launched on 2 April 2026 in four versions from 128,900 to 169,900 yuan with second-generation Blade batteries and flash charging (10 to 97% in about nine minutes). It retains the existing design.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Battery-electric with a 240 kW motor (0 to 100 km/h in about 6.5 seconds). Battery packs of 57.54 kWh (520 km CLTC) or 69.07 kWh (620 km CLTC). About 4,630 mm long on a 2,820 mm wheelbase, with a 66 L front trunk, DiSus-C suspension damping control and the God's Eye B (DiPilot-300) driver-assistance system.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
The Seal 06 GT is the electric hatchback, while the Seal 06 DM-i (sedan and wagon) and Seal 06 EV sedan are different bodies with different drivetrains. Earlier and 2026 GT cars differ in battery and charging system, so the build date matters. Charging inlets differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
