Mid-size electric sedan on e-Platform 3.0 with cell-to-body Blade Battery construction, positioned against the Tesla Model 3. Sold in the GCC through official BYD distributors.

Seal (EV) 2022–present
Announced May 2022, on sale in China July 2022 (deliveries from Aug 2022); China-market refresh Aug 2024 (roof LiDAR on some versions). In China it is being succeeded by the Seal 07 EV; export production continues.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Rear motor RWD (61.4 kWh or 82.5 kWh LFP Blade) or dual-motor AWD (82.5 kWh); 800 V electrical platform with cell-to-body battery construction. Export cars charge on CCS2, China-spec on GB/T.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
BYD uses the Seal name on several different cars — Seal 05 DM-i, Seal 06 DM-i/EV/GT, Seal 07, Seal 08 and the Seal U SUV (Song Plus in China) — which do not share parts with the Seal EV sedan. Confirm the exact model; the VIN is essential. China-spec and export cars differ in charging hardware and software.
