BYD Dahan
China name: 大汉
BYD's flagship full-size sedan in the Dynasty range, about 5.3 m long, shown as the Great Han (Da Han). It was due to start pre-sales at the Chengdu show on 21 August 2026, with a battery-electric and a plug-in hybrid version.
Generations & years
First generation 2026–present
Core specifications emerged in June 2026 during homologation, and BYD announced pre-sales for 21 August 2026 at the Chengdu Auto Show. The launch was reportedly delayed twice while BYD worked on battery supply.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Battery-electric: a 102.326 kWh battery with a single motor, rated at up to 1,008 km CLTC, and an all-wheel-drive version with a combined 570 kW (764 hp) and about 880 km of range. A plug-in hybrid version with a 54.489 kWh LFP battery also exists. About 5,256 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,510 mm tall on a 3,130 mm wheelbase, with rear-wheel steering and a roof LiDAR.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
The Great Han (Da Han) is a different, larger car than the Han and Han L, so do not assume parts fit across them. EV and plug-in hybrid versions have different drivetrains, and these figures come from homologation and pre-launch reporting, so confirm against the VIN. Charging inlets differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
