Chery Tiggo 9X
China name: 瑞虎9X · Export: Tiggo 9, Tiggo 8L (2024–2026), Fulwin T9 (PHEV)
Chery's mid-size SUV positioned between the Tiggo 8 and the China-market Tiggo 9. It was called the Tiggo 8L in China until September 2025 and is exported as the Tiggo 9. The plug-in hybrid version is the Fulwin T9.
Generations & years
First generation (Tiggo 8L) 2024–2025
Launched in China in 2024 as the Tiggo 8L, a completely different model from the Tiggo 8 Pro. The Fulwin T9 plug-in hybrid was revealed in February 2024 and shown at the Beijing show in April 2024.
Tiggo 9X 2025–present
In September 2025 the model received a mid-cycle refresh and was renamed Tiggo 9X.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Petrol: a 2.0 turbo engine, with a seven-seat version available. Fulwin T9 plug-in hybrid: Chery's Kungpeng C-DM system with a 1.5 turbo engine (115 kW, 220 N·m), a 150 kW (310 N·m) electric motor, a single-speed dedicated hybrid gearbox and a 19.4 kWh battery for about 100 km CLTC electric range. Five- and seven-seat versions.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
The same car is sold as the Tiggo 8L, Tiggo 9X, Tiggo 9 (export), Fulwin T9, and under other badges such as the Ebro S900 in Spain, Tenet T9 in Russia and Fownix F9 in Iran. It is not the China-market Tiggo 9 (the Jaecoo J8) and not the Tiggo 8 Pro. Pre- and post-September 2025 cars differ because of the refresh, and petrol and plug-in versions differ. Charging inlets on the plug-in version differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
