Chery's compact SUV, on sale in China since August 2023 as the Tansuo 06 and exported as the Jaecoo J7. In China it is also sold as the Tiggo 7 High Energy and, as a plug-in hybrid only, the Fulwin T6.
Generations & years
First generation 2023–present
Shown at Auto Shanghai 2023 as the Chery TJ-1 C-DM prototype and on sale in China in August 2023 as the Tansuo 06. The Jaecoo J7 went on sale in Russia in September 2023 as the first Jaecoo model and reached South Africa on 12 April 2024. The plug-in hybrid (C-DM) went on sale in April 2024 with an update in November 2024, and the Tiggo 7 High Energy and Fulwin T6 names date from 2024.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Petrol: 1.6 L turbo engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Plug-in hybrid: a 1.6 turbo engine with dual electric motors, rated at about 120 km electric range and over 1,400 km combined. The 2024 body measures about 4,538 mm long on a 2,672 mm wheelbase.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
The same car is sold as the Tansuo 06, Tiggo 7 High Energy, Fulwin T6, Jaecoo J7 or Jaecoo 7, Jeland J7 (Russia) and Lucano L7 (Iran). It is not the older Tiggo 7 (2016) or the Tiggo 7 Pro. Petrol and plug-in hybrid versions have different drivetrains. Charging inlets on the plug-in version differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
