Generations & years

  • First generation 2017–present

Tiggo 5x launched in 2017. The Tiggo 4 Pro version reached markets from late 2021: unveiled in Pakistan in December 2021 and introduced in Indonesia in January 2022, with South Africa launch plans announced in 2021.

Powertrain, battery & charging

Engines vary by market. South Africa announced the Tiggo 4 Pro with a naturally aspirated 1.5 L engine and a manual or CVT gearbox, while Pakistan's Tiggo 4 Pro was announced with a 1.5 turbo (145 hp, 210 N·m) and a 9-speed CVT.

Where to find the VIN

On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.

China-spec vs export-spec

Names do not map to one car: Tiggo 5x, Tiggo 4, Tiggo 4 Pro, Tiggo 3 and Tiggo Cross refer to related versions, and engine and gearbox differ by market, so the badge alone does not identify the parts. The Tiggo 5x High Energy (sold as the Omoda 5 in China) and the older Tiggo 5 (2013) are different cars. Send the VIN.
