Chery Tiggo 9
China name: 瑞虎9 · Export: Jaecoo J8, Jaecoo 8, Fulwin T10 (PHEV)
Chery's three-row mid-size SUV, on sale in China since 2023 and exported mainly as the Jaecoo J8 (also called Jaecoo 8). The plug-in hybrid version is the Fulwin T10 in China.
Generations & years
First generation 2023–present
Shown at Auto Shanghai in 2023 and first introduced as the Fulwin T9, a name later moved to a smaller model. The Jaecoo J8 made its global debut in Qatar in October 2023, and the Fulwin T10 plug-in hybrid launched in China in April 2024. A 2024 facelift followed.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Export versions are listed with a 2.0 turbo petrol engine in markets such as Malaysia, in five-seat two-wheel-drive and six-seat all-wheel-drive versions. Russian-market reporting says all-wheel-drive cars use an 8-speed automatic and front-wheel-drive cars a 7-speed dual-clutch. The Fulwin T10 is the plug-in hybrid.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
Do not confuse this with the Tiggo 9X: the Tiggo 9 sold overseas under the Chery name is the Chinese Tiggo 9X (formerly Tiggo 8L), which is a different car. This Tiggo 9 is the one exported as the Jaecoo J8. Names also vary by market (Jeland J8 in Russia, Lucano L8 in Iran). Petrol and plug-in versions differ, and the 2024 facelift changed details. Send the VIN.
