NIO ET7

China name: 蔚来ET7

NIO's flagship electric sedan and the first production model on its NT2.0 platform, about 5 m long. It was NIO's first sedan, after the ES8, ES6 and EC6 SUVs.

Generations & years

  • First generation 2022–present

Unveiled on 9 January 2021 at NIO Day with prices from 448,000 yuan; deliveries began in 2022. A 150 kWh semi-solid-state battery option was added later, and a car with that pack covered 1,044 km on one charge in late 2023.

Powertrain, battery & charging

Electric drive with battery options of 70 kWh (about 500 km NEDC at launch), 100 kWh (about 700 km) and 150 kWh (about 1,000 km, later a semi-solid-state pack available mainly to rent). NIO battery-swap compatible.

Where to find the VIN

On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.

China-spec vs export-spec

The ET7 is a different, larger car than the ET5 and ET5T, and battery size (70, 75, 100 or 150 kWh) changes the pack and range. The 150 kWh semi-solid-state pack is a special option. Charging inlets differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
