MG Cyberster
China name: MG Cyberster
MG's fully electric two-seat roadster, on sale in China and launched in markets such as the UK, Italy, Denmark, Malaysia and Australia from 2024. It is built on the same Modular Scalable Platform as the MG4.
Generations & years
First generation 2024–present
Already on sale in China in left-hand drive when Malaysia confirmed its launch for 2024. Some European markets such as the UK and Italy had a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version, while others only got the dual-motor car.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Battery-electric with a 77 kWh battery shared across versions. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive GT makes about 510 hp and 725 N·m with an estimated 507 km of range, and a single-motor rear-wheel-drive version is sold in some markets.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
The single-motor and dual-motor versions have different drivetrains, and some markets only get the dual-motor car. Charging inlets differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
