Powertrain, battery & charging

Battery-electric with four electric motors and a 100 kWh LFP battery, quoted at about 1,100 hp combined output.

Where to find the VIN

On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.

China-spec vs export-spec

The U9 is battery-electric, unlike the extended-range U8, so drivetrain parts differ. Yangwang parts do not cross over to BYD-badged models, and high-voltage and four-motor drivetrain parts are specialised. Charging inlets differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
