Yangwang U7

China name: 仰望U7

Generations & years

  • First generation 2025–present

Revealed in January 2024 as Yangwang's third production model, initially under the prototype name U6. It is listed with both plug-in hybrid (extended-range) and battery-electric versions.

Powertrain, battery & charging

BYD's e4 individual-wheel-drive platform with four electric motors, quoted at a total output of 1,006 hp (750 kW) for the pure-electric version. An extended-range (EREV) version is also reported.

Where to find the VIN

On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.

China-spec vs export-spec

The extended-range and battery-electric versions of the U7 have different drivetrains, and Yangwang parts do not cross over to BYD-badged models. High-voltage and drivetrain parts are specialised, so confirm the exact version with the VIN. Charging inlets differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
