Jaecoo J8 / 8
Jaecoo's three-row mid-size SUV, the export version of Chery's Tiggo 9. The plug-in hybrid is the Fulwin T10 in China, and the car is also sold as the Jeland J8 in Russia and the Lucano L8 in Iran.
Generations & years
First generation 2023–present
Shown at Auto Shanghai in 2023 and launched in China as the Tiggo 9, with the Jaecoo J8 making its global debut in Qatar in October 2023. The Fulwin T10 plug-in hybrid launched in China in April 2024, and a plug-in version was announced for Australia, where the J8 launched in 2025.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Export versions are listed with a 2.0 turbo petrol engine, in five-seat two-wheel-drive and six-seat all-wheel-drive versions in Malaysia. Russian-market all-wheel-drive cars use an 8-speed automatic with adaptive suspension. The Fulwin T10 is the plug-in hybrid.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
The Jaecoo J8 is the Chery Tiggo 9 sold in China, not the Tiggo 9X that Chery exports as the Tiggo 9, which is a different car. Names vary by market (Jaecoo 8, Jeland J8, Lucano L8), and petrol and plug-in versions differ. Send the VIN.
