Jaecoo's compact SUV and its first model, the export version of Chery's Tansuo 06. In China the same car is sold as the Tansuo 06, Tiggo 7 High Energy and, as a plug-in hybrid, the Fulwin T6.
Generations & years
First generation 2023–present
Shown at Auto Shanghai 2023 as the Chery TJ-1 C-DM prototype. The J7 went on sale in Russia in September 2023 as the first Jaecoo model, reached South Africa on 12 April 2024, Vietnam on 15 January 2025 and was Jaecoo's first model in Indonesia in January 2025. The plug-in hybrid went on sale in China from April 2024.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Petrol: 1.6 L turbo engine with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Plug-in hybrid: a 1.6 turbo engine with dual electric motors, rated at about 120 km electric range. Front-wheel drive and four-wheel drive were offered in Malaysia. Body about 4,538 mm long on a 2,672 mm wheelbase.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
The Jaecoo J7 (Jaecoo 7) is the same car as the Tansuo 06 and Tiggo 7 High Energy in China, the Jeland J7 in Russia and the Lucano L7 in Iran. It is not the older Chery Tiggo 7 or Tiggo 7 Pro. Petrol and plug-in versions differ. Charging inlets on the plug-in version differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market.
