Ora's electric hatchback, first shown in 2020. Sold in Europe as the Ora Funky Cat until the end of 2023, then as the GWM Ora 03, and in Australia and Nepal as the GWM Ora.
Generations & years
First generation 2020–present
First revealed at the Chengdu show on 24 July 2020. The Funky Cat made its European debut in October 2022, launched in Malaysia on 28 November 2022 and was renamed Ora 03 in November 2023 after a trademark dispute settlement. A GT variant, Thai-built cars from January 2024 and a 2025 facelift followed.
Powertrain, battery & charging
Battery-electric, front-wheel drive, with a motor of about 143 PS (210 N·m) in the early cars. Battery options across versions: 47.8 kWh LFP (CATL), 57.7 kWh LFP (SVOLT), and 59.1 or 63.1 kWh NMC (CATL). The 63.1 kWh Ultra trim is rated at about 500 km NEDC.
Where to find the VIN
On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.
China-spec vs export-spec
The Good Cat, Funky Cat, Ora 03 and GWM Ora are the same car, so the badge does not identify the parts. Battery chemistry and capacity differ by market and year (LFP and NMC packs, 48 to 63 kWh), the GT variant is separate, and the 2025 facelift changed details. It is a different car from the Ora 07 (Lightning Cat). Charging inlets differ by market: China-spec cars use the GB/T standard and export versions are built for the destination market. Send the VIN.
