Exeed TXL (Lingyun)

China name: 凌云

Exeed's seven-seat, three-row version of the TX mid-size SUV, known in China as the Lingyun from 2021. It is sold in Iran as the Xtrim TX or TXL.

Generations & years

  • First generation 2019–present

The Exeed TX and TXL were Exeed's first production models, launched in March 2019. The TXL had a facelift for the 2021 model year and gained the Lingyun name in August 2021, and a 2023 Lingyun launched on 6 September 2022. Plans to sell the TXL in the United States as the Vantas TXL were abandoned in 2021.

Powertrain, battery & charging

A 1.6 turbo (145 kW, 300 N·m) or a 2.0 turbo (192 kW, 400 N·m), both with a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, unchanged by the 2021 facelift. About 4,780 mm long on a 2,800 mm wheelbase, longer than the standard TX (2,697 mm wheelbase).

Where to find the VIN

On most cars the VIN is visible at the base of the windscreen (driver side) and on a label in the driver-side door opening; check your registration document too.

China-spec vs export-spec

The TXL and Lingyun are the same car, and it is a longer, three-row version of the TX. The newer Exeed ET5 (sold as the Exeed MX) is a restyled, electrified successor with different drivetrains, so do not assume parts fit both. Pre- and post-2021 facelift cars differ in the front end. Send the VIN.
